We are what we eat. If we want to have a good immune system, we need to heed that saying.Through the years this saying has proved its worth to myself and my husband, but nonetheless we still eat foods that aren’t nutrient dense, and of course we enjoy meat, although we try hard to keep down the amount of meat we eat. But this article by Dr Joel Fuhrman gives food for thought, and I will certainly take note of what he says on having a high meat diet, because both my husband and myself have struggled this winter with a miserable cold that just won’t get better. It seems our immune systems have taken a hit, and we need to address that as soon as we can, as a poor immune systems can’t fight disease or the dreaded cancer. Below is a you tube video of Dr Joel Fuhrman discussing the importance of micronutrients in our food. i loved what he said about GBOMBS – his formula for food that can protect us from all the nasty diseases of today, especially cancer. It is so easy to remember when you put it as he has done.

It is also said that if you lose your job, move house, suffer a death or divorce in the family that ones immune system is affected, so it is even more important to eat as well as one can, in order to feel as vital and full of energy as one can. When one’s energy levels are down, life loses its zest and then everything becomes an effort, and hard to cope with the daily routine. if you want to read a book by Dr Joel Fuhrman called Eat for Health than click on the link colored in yellow.
