This is a subject dear to my heart. I went to boarding school at a very early age and as a result battled obesity all my life, and take it from me when you have dieted and lost weight it definitely becomes harder to lose weight the next time. You are only emptying fat cells, and they are just waiting for you to succumb to temptation for them to fill up again. It gives me much sadness when I see how many children are already obese as I know that just becoming overweight can lead to loss of confidence, serious health problems and low self-esteem.

My hope is that anyone reading this article and has overweight children will do all they can to turn the weight problem around. That you will take note of the dangers of eating processed food on a regular basis, and also note what the author said about children not getting enough sleep can contribute to their weight problems. I know that if I am very tired I want to eat more than normal almost as if I am trying to boost my energy levels with taking in extra calories.
